Kent Harle

CEO

Founding partner and CEO Kent Harle has over 30 years’ experience in electrical contracting and project management, with an emphasis in residential and commercial PV Solar Energy, Battery Storage and Electric Vehicle connectivity. He is a builder and inventor by nature and likes to get his hands dirty which earned him the title “CEO in a t-shirt”. He is a successful entrepreneur, launching Redline Performance Products and its line of Low-Emission, High-Performance Snowmobiles that was tested extensively in Michigan. Solar power is his passion leading him to found Stellar Solar over 25 years ago. His business savvy has enabled Stellar to experience consistent growth and has positioned the company as one of the leading residential and commercial solar integrators. Kent hails from a small town in Iowa that shaped his values and work ethic. He is an avid boater and motorcyclist. He is also the consummate family man who loves to spend time with his wife Jill and four children.

David Boylan

VP Marketing & Business Development

 

Royal Oak native, Grand Valley graduate, Lick the Plate Michigan host, and Suttons Bay/Royal Oak resident David Boylan has been building the Stellar Solar brand and generating leads for 13 years as our VP of Marketing. His branding efforts attracted the iconic NBA legend and solar advocate Bill Walton to become our solar evangelist. Prior to Stellar Solar David honed his solar marketing skills at solar companies across the country. He began his career with Masco Corporation, a Fortune 200 building products conglomerate, starting out as a first mate on their corporate yacht and working for several subsidiaries. Outside of Stellar Solar, David is the host of Lick the Plate, a culinary, culture and music feature that airs in several markets and also writes a column by the same name. He knows his way around a kitchen, and enjoys surfing, fishing, gardening, boating and enjoying the company of his six siblings and son Quinn.

Zac Dowell

Sales Manager

Deerfield Michigan native Zac Dowell joined the Stellar Solar Team in 2009 designing and permitting PV systems while also installing with the crews on rooftops. That experience has given Zac the unique insight to understand every detail that goes into the sales, design and installation of the modern solar and storage systems. It also led to his promotion to energy consultant and is now a part of a sales management team. He earned a degree in architectural engineering and spent 9 years as a land surveyor before making his way into solar. Zac grew up in Deerfield Michigan and started his first band at age 17. His love for music has kept him playing guitar in bands ever since. Zac’s greatest accomplishment is marrying his wife Elizabeth and raising their daughter Sophie.

Brian Grems

VP of Operations

Novi native Brian Grems is an experienced electrical engineer and licensed electrician. He is a Purdue graduate, who studied at one of the world’s top PV research labs at the University of New South Wales in Australia. He began his career designing solar cells in a research & development laboratory then later moved into the field, to specialize in systems design and installation. Brian is a founding partner in Stellar Solar. Brian is an avid hockey player who still plays on a regular basis. His wife Erica Campau is a native Michigander as well and the two of them are passionate about all Detroit sports, road trips up north, and travel.

Pete Mann

Michigan Energy Consultant

Pete Mann is a Roof and ground mount solar specialist experienced in home battery backup and self consumption solutions from Enphase and Tesla with customer installations throughout Michigan. He studied Business and Automotive Technology at Columbus State and Owens Community College.

I take an educational, consultative approach with homeowners, presenting them with all their options in a no-pressure manner realizing that solar is not a fit for all homeowners in Michigan”

Outside of work my interests include attending and coaching my kids sport activities, fishing, camping, writing, recording, and playing live music in a band”
