More and more people are achieving energy independence in Michigan. Imagine a world where your home not only provides shelter, but also generates clean, renewable energy that you can live on. That’s the vision we’re turning into reality for homeowners across the Great Lakes State.
How?
At Stellar Solar, we install solar panels – and change the way our customers think about energy. We help our customers to claim full energy independence: with solar, battery storage, and EV charging. We are Michigan’s most experienced battery provider for self consumption and battery backup power.
Our slogan is “Electrify Your Life” and we mean it! We offer many options to suit your needs such as Tesla PowerWall and Enphase batteries. These can all offset high electricity charges through self consumption, and protect you from power outage.
Batteries can help save you money and keep the power on. Especially in emergencies and when electricity is the most expensive. If you want to install solar battery backup in Michigan to an existing solar installation, or purchase one with solar, we can help.
Overall, our team provides cutting-edge solar technology with expert roofing solutions to create seamless, sustainable power systems that stand strong in adverse weather conditions! From sleek rooftop installations to innovative ground mounts, we tailor every project to maximize efficiency and your specifications.
Incentives in Michigan
Did you know that Michigan is a surprisingly good place to get solar?
Actually, southeast Michigan typically gets an average of around 2,500 to 2,800 hours of sunshine per year. In comparison, Miami-Dade County receives roughly 2,700 to 3,000 hours of sunshine annually. Not a huge difference!
Interestingly, areas that receive around 5-6 hours of sunlight per day are ideal for solar energy generation: which is approx 1,825 to 2,190 sunlight hours per annum. That shows how Michigan is more than suited for solar power!
But let’s get to specifics.
Why choose solar for your Michigan home? It’s simple – you can take control of your electricity bills and reduce your carbon footprint. With federal tax incentives and rising utility rates, there’s never been a better time to embrace solar power.
With the Federal Solar Tax Credit offering a substantial 30% rebate on solar installations, coupled with the steady rise in residential electric rates, solar power remains the most attractive option for saving money on your electricity bills.
The Federal Solar Tax Credit, which allows homeowners to claim a tax credit equal to 30% of the installation cost on their federal income taxes. For example, a $30,000 solar installation could yield a tax credit of $9,000.
Investing in solar energy provides immediate economic benefits and ensures long-term sustainability. With a solar energy system backed by a 25-year warranty, you’re reducing your dependency on foreign oil and fossil fuels and contributing to a cleaner, greener future in Michigan.
Beyond the Federal Solar Tax Credit, there are many local MI renewable energy programs to incentivize energy-efficient upgrades, including solar installations, roofing, and insulation. Our team can help you navigate incentives and determine the best solar solution for your needs.
Adopting solar power contributes to grid resiliency, diversifying the local energy grid and reducing demand during peak usage times. By generating your own clean energy, you mitigate the risk of power outages while gaining energy independence, shielding yourself from fluctuating fossil fuel prices and ensuring a reliable energy source for years.
